Welcome to Ballycommane House & Garden, a Boutique Bed & Breakfast and holiday cottage on Ireland’s famous Wild Atlantic Way
Enjoy a relaxing and memorable holiday on the Wild Atlantic Way. Ballycommane House is a charming country home tucked away in the green rolling hills of West Cork, yet only a stone’s throw away from the Atlantic. Its secluded location provides the kind of tranquil environment so much sought after in today’s hectic times. This is the place to get away from it all, to just relax and unwind.
We strive to create an atmosphere of "home from home" during your stay with us. It was with this in mind, that we converted our private home into a Boutique Bed & Breakfast.
The beautifully landscaped gardens with their subtropical vegetation are most inviting for relaxation and contemplation. There are hidden seating areas where you can be in tune with nature and wind down. Incorporating a famous Bronze-age monument, the garden also encapsulates ancient archaeology.
Set on 3.5 acres (15,000 sqm) of private land in a broad valley near the charming coastal village of Durrus and just a ten minute drive from the major market town of Bantry, Ballycommane House is ideal for touring West Cork & Kerry. It’s also the perfect base for walking the Sheep’s Head, Mizen and Beara peninsula.
Sit down and relax in our Adirondack style Beara chairs, hand crafted in West Cork.
Ken Davis is cycling the Wild Atlantic Way (WAW) 2900km from Cork to Coleraine for ‘Fields of Life’, a local charity who bring urgently needed, fresh, clean water to families in East Africa through their well-drilling programme. Ken stayed with us on day 2 of this challenging cycle. All the best for the challenge ahead, Ken! Find out more, donate and follow his progress. All money raied will go to the well-drilling project.
